The loss-in-weight feeder is composed of a hopper,a volumetric feeder,a weighing system,and a controller. It is a conveying device that provides high-precision continuous feeding ofmaterial.During operation,the hopper, material,and feeder are continuously weighed together.As the material is discharged,the actual rate of weight loss (the loss-in-weight rate)is measured and compared with the desired rate (the setpoint).Depending on the characteristics of the material,a mixing component can also be added to ensure proper feeding and accuracy.
